I love the organization Riders Alliance. They do great transportation advocacy, particularly in fighting for better C train service. The C train. In a word, Ugh. Is there anything worse? I think it’s my least favorite part about living in Bed Stuy. Here’s hoping that Rider’s Alliance can help improve it. There are two events coming up along those lines, if you’re interested.
First, a Day of Action to Improve the C Train. Here are details: “On Sunday, April 19th at 12:00 PM, we’re hitting the subway platforms to ask riders to support our campaign and sign our petition for better C train service. Meet us at the Dunkin’ Donuts (1309 Fulton St.) off of the Nostrand Avenue C train stop. Come right at 12:00 PM for a brief training before we talk to riders. For more details and to sign up go here.”
Second, a Strategy Meeting for Better C Train Service. More details: “We know you have great ideas for how riders can make their voices heard for better C train service. Share them at our next meeting, when fellow C train riders come together to have a lively discussion and make important decisions for our campaign’s next steps. Join us on Tuesday, April 21st from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at the Brooklyn Movement Center (located at 375 Stuyvesant Avenue). Learn more and sign up here.”
