Nooo! A wood-frame home on Franklin will soon be demolished and replaced with a four-story apartment building. See a picture of the wood-frame beauty at Brownstoner.

It took more than 100 firefighters to put out a blaze at a home at 704 MacDonough Street, near Saratoga Avenue. It’s not clear what caused the fire. Four people, including one firefighter, were treated for minor injuries. Read more at DNAinfo.

New restaurant Willow, at Franklin and Fulton, officially opened yesterday. The place is serving farm food, including something called chicken liver mousse. Pictures of food at Grub Street.

And for your final “WTF.” The NYPD caught a Bed Stuy man driving his car — a hotboxed Impala — with a machine gun, knife and two stun guns. He was arrested and charged with things having to do with illegal machine gun ownership. Details at Gothamist.
