A boutique called Locale is set to open at 410 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, right off Halsey Street. The opening date is right around the corner and set for early May. Here are details about the shop offered by the owners, Sandi and Don. They are residents of Bed Stuy and this is their first business in Brooklyn.
Locale is a “village shop” specializing in art, jewelry, home wares, handmade clothing and accessories, as well as vintage curiosities. We also provide a mindful selection of grocery, dry goods, and apothecary.
All of our products are handmade and fair traded, supporting micro entrepreneurs and creative artisans locally and abroad. We pride ourselves in curating the best items the cottage industry has to offer with a collection of unique and one-of-a-kind items from across the globe, some never seen in Brooklyn before, but all made with a story.
Seems like it’ll be an awesome place to stop in and grab a unique gift. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor at Locale, you can fill out a contact form at the website. Looking forward to one less vacant storefront on MGB!
