It’s a good weekend to be in the neighborhood. Tomorrow, on Saturday the 17th, it’s the 37th Annual Bedford Stuyvesant House Tour, where you get to walk inside those gorgeous brownstones you’re always trying to see through the windows. (Or is that just me?) It’s a self-guided tour that starts at 11am and ends promptly at 4pm. All ticket holders are required to begin at the starting point — Boys and Girls High School at 1700 Fulton Street — to exchange their ticket for a brochure. Need a ticket? Buy one here! They cost $20 today and $25 on the day of the tour. Trust me, these houses are worth it.
Also on Saturday, the community organization NYSoM is holding the “NYSoM Back to School Family Health Day.” From 1pm to 4pm, NYSoM will distribute a limited supply of free school supplies and share health information. There will also be a DJ, spelling bee, and other fitness activities and prizes. Check it out at the Raymond Bush Playground, behind PS 44 on Monroe Street between Throop Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard.
