Lots of new stuff around the neighborhood to keep track of! The first is Ian’s Coffee Shop, now open at 501 Nostrand Avenue, right off Fulton. The menu includes coffee, of course, as well as tea, homemade pastries, salads, shakes, fresh juices and ice cream. On their Facebook, it also looks like there are some sandwich specials. There’s free wi-fi, too.
Speaking of ice cream, Lady Moo Moo Ice Cream is opening for the season on Friday, May 27th. They are located at 365 Chauncey Street, off Howard. The grand opening will be held from noon to 8pm. From 2 to 5pm, everybody that likes the business on Facebook gets a free kids scoop. Yeah!
Finally, this news from a tipster: “This is 406 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, right next to the Yemen Deli [near Halsey]. I checked out their Instagram and they seem to be doing a great job…I think it’s going to be really amazing coffee from Kobrick Coffee, apparently! They must be doing “third wave coffee” which is something we need on this side. Looking forward to this opening, for sure.” It is slated to start serving coffee and selling flower bouquets this June.
