Children’s book author Gemmesa Johnson has teamed up with the local Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center to host a book signing and book fair this Saturday, September 10th, at the Barnes & Noble Park Slope branch. The goal of the event, Gemmesa tells us, is to celebrate her children’s book Seacoo and raise funds for the DSPAC. The story is about a panda bear cub who loves to read and learns a lesson about friendship and forgiveness.
Gemmesa will be around for the book signing between 1 and 2pm on Saturday, but the book fair lasts until Saturday, September 17th. Be sure to use the voucher number 11911989 at the B&N Park Slope location (or online) to ensure that proceeds from the book benefit the Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center.
