Last week I snapped a photo of a yoga studio slated to open at 325 Lewis Avenue, between Jefferson and Hancock. That was soon followed by an email from Lisa Scholtz, the founder of the the new establishment, Namastuy Healing Collective. A full class schedule has already kicked off ahead of the studio’s grand opening on Sunday, February 12th. According to Lisa, offerings include “various types of yoga classes including Vinyasa, Rest and Restore, Fundamentals Flow and Power Vinyasa… taught seven days a week.” There will also be a full range of massage services, as well as nutrition, health, meditation and yoga workshops to come.
For the grand opening–happening next week between 3 and 7pm–you can stop by for “afternoon mimosas, commUNITY building, and the unveiling of a new exhibit – ‘Asana’ – by painter and designer Luciano Fontanez, our next featured artist.” Namastuy will also be giving out vouchers for fifty free yoga classes.
Check out the schedule here. Drop-in classes cost $18, but there are also donation-based classes a few times a week that offer a sliding scale between $8 and $18. New students can also get two weeks of unlimited classes for $30.
