Bed-Stuy Has Ramen Now!

Nana Ramen, Bed-Stuy, 330 Malcolm X Boulevard

Just in time for winter: Nana Ramen is open! We got a sneak peek of the space over the summer and they just opened to the public this week. Apparently Nana’s debut went well — according to Facebook, almost 100 bowls of ramen were served for opening night.

The 700-square-foot restaurant is located at 330 Malcolm X Boulevard, between Decatur and Bainbridge. The owner is behind the Asian fusion restaurant Nana, which has closed in Park Slope, and the Asian restaurant Hachi, in Williamsburg. The Bed-Stuy menu has a nice selection of small dishes, which include gyoza, shrimp shumai, tofu, tempura and sashimi. There are seven types of ramen, priced between $11 and $13. We hear the Spicy Miso (with chashu, scallion and baby bok choi) is delicious. Can’t wait to try.

Sneak Peek Inside Bed-Stuy’s Newest Ramen Restaurant on Malcolm X Boulevard

Nana Ramen, 330 Malcolm X Boulevard, opening

I got to take a quick tour of Bed-Stuy’s newest ramen joint–Nana Ramen–which will open this September at 330 Malcolm X Boulevard, between Decatur and Bainbridge. The owner is behind the Asian fusion restaurant Nana, in Park Slope, and the Asian restaurant Hachi, in Williamsburg. He told me the menu here will be different than his two other locales. The 700-square-foot, cozy interior is very much under construction but looks really good, with lots of wood details and cool light fixtures. The backyard will be also built out as a beer and sake garden. Can’t wait for this opening! Click through to see the interior photos.
